Overview
Advancing sustainability and empowering communities for a better future
At JSM, we believe that our role extends beyond delivering legal services; we are committed to ensuring that we contribute to societal well-being and environmental sustainability. By aligning our professional practice with both global and local challenges, we aim to promote sustainability and social well-being in our work with the broader community.
JSM is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations. We prioritise sustainable products in our daily activities and participate in recycling programmes across Hong Kong. As part of our broader mandate to reduce our carbon footprint, we encourage our service providers to adopt sustainable practices and prioritise partnerships with organisations that share our commitment to ESG principles.
Our recycling initiatives, which initially focused on materials like paper, aluminium cans, and plastic bottles, have expanded to include glass and food waste recycling within our offices. In support of local renewable energy development, we also purchase renewable energy.
Our efforts have been recognised by Prince’s Building’s Building Management Office (BMO), and we hold certifications from the Wastewi$e, Energywi$e, and Hong Kong Green Organisation schemes. We also participate annually in Earth Hour, organised by WWF. These initiatives underline our dedication to cultivating a culture of sustainability both within our firm and in the wider community.
