Our Summer Internship and beyond
You’ll work alongside our trainee solicitors, associates and partners in one of our Commercial, Dispute Resolution or Real Estate practice departments. You’ll experience our firm’s culture, take on real legal work, bond with your fellow interns, participate in assessments and be invited for a training contract interview.
Your training contract typically starts two years later. You’ll spend six months in each of our core practice groups to help you decide which area suits you best for your future career.

How to apply We now welcome penultimate and final year law students (undergraduate or JD) students to apply for our 2027 Summer Internship. 2027 Summer Internship (for 2028 and 2029 training contracts): Applications are open from 1 September 2026 to 10 January 2027. We are recruiting approximately 18-20 Summer Interns. We’re looking for two future trainee solicitors to expand our existing 2028 cohort and seven future trainee solicitors to form our 2029 cohort. This means that final year law students who join us for our 2027 Summer Internship will automatically be considered for both a 2028 and 2029 training contract. We recruit on a non-rolling basis, so to apply, simply submit your application within the deadline. As long as your application shows you are eligible to apply (a qualifying law degree and no earlier than your penultimate year of study), then we will invite you to take a short online strengths-based assessment, for which you’ll receive an individual feedback report. Both steps must be completed by 10 January 2027. We’ll invite selected candidates to an assessment centre on either 20-22 or 25-27 January 2027. You’ll take our practical written assessments (Chinese and English) as well as meet our Early Careers team for a short interview to see if we are a good fit for each other. Our 2027 Summer Internship will run 5 – 30 July 2027. We select our future trainee solicitors from our Summer Internship, and don’t currently offer direct training contracts. |
