Our Real Estate team advised Shorea Capital on its recent acquisition of The Pemberton, a commercial building located at Nos. 22-26 Bonham Strand, Hong Kong.
The transaction marks Shorea Capital’s first living-sector acquisition in Hong Kong. Shorea Capital is a Singapore-based investment management firm with over S$2 billion in assets under management, specialising in real estate, wealth management and multi-asset investment solutions. Shorea Capital plans to submit applications for the conversion of the 24-storey commercial building into high-quality living accommodation. The move reflects a broader investment thesis centred on the gap between limited supply and growing occupier demand in Hong Kong’s accommodation market, particularly for well-located, professionally managed living products.
