Overview

Richard Tang is a senior associate in the Real Estate practice at JSM's Hong Kong office.

He advises property developers and investors on acquisition and disposal of real estate in Hong Kong. He represents major property developers and listed companies in Hong Kong on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures concerning undeveloped lands, hotels, commercial buildings, shopping complex and residential properties.

He is experienced in property development projects under both the consent and non-consent schemes, including advising on matters in land grants, drafting of Deeds of Mutual Covenant, applying for pre-sale consent and advising on legal compliance with first-hand sale related regulations. He also handles acquisition of properties for redevelopment and general conveyancing matters.

Richard speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

  • Advised vendor on its HK$1.088 billion sale of a luxury mansion at No.1 Gough Hill Road, The Peak.
  • Advised private investor on its HK$480 million acquisition of a luxury house at No.33 Island Road, Hong Kong.
  • Advised private investor on its HK$252 million acquisition of an en bloc industrial building at No.47 Hung To Road, Kowloon.
  • Advised private investor on its HK$140 million acquisition of an en bloc mixed-use building at No.265 Queen’s Road West, Sai Ying Pun.
  • Advised private investor on its HK$360 million acquisition of No.8 Purves Road, Jardine’s Lookout, Hong Kong.

  • Advised receivers on their en bloc disposal of Incredible Residences at No.3 San Lau Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
  • Advised a Hong Kong conglomerate on its HK$180 million disposal of a commercial building in Central, Hong Kong.
  • Advised Weave Living on the formation of a joint venture with LaSalle Investment Management and advised the joint venture on its acquisition and management of an en bloc apartment building at Robinson Road, a highly-coveted residential area in Hong Kong.
