JSM was a proud sponsor and programme contributor of Annual Conference of In-House Lawyers 2026, organised by the Law Society of Hong Kong's In-House Lawyers Committee. An opening remark by the Chairman of the Law Society, followed by a keynote address by The Hon Mrs Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, GBM, GBS, JP, set the stage for the conference, themed "Navigating New Frontiers: In-House Lawyers in a Shifting Global Landscape". The full-day programme examined the evolving role of in-house lawyers and the opportunities and challenges shaping the profession.
Our partner Joe choy and Senior Innovation Manager Jonathan Voo had the pleasure of co-hosting a "Law Tech" breakout session, "Know-How to Workflow: Reimagining Legal Service Delivery with AI Agents", alongside Amy Lee from Microsoft Hong Kong. They highlighted the latest developments in legal technology with demonstrations, exploring how AI is reshaping legal operations, improving efficiency and client outcomes while preserving professional judgment in an increasingly technology-enabled environment.
In co-hosting a client table with Microsoft, we had a wonderful opportunity to welcome and connect with representatives from leading organisations across the real estate, financial, utilities and other sectors. Joe and Jonathan were joined by our Commercial Managing Partner Hannah Ha, Insurance partner Jenny Yu and IP partner Michelle Yee who were pleased to catch up with members of the in-house legal community.
The event had a record attendance of over 500 registrants, bringing together participants—across both in-person and online formats—including in-house lawyers, legal and business professionals.
