Assisted in a successful judicial review by a private golf club challenging the Director of Environmental Protection’s decision approving an environmental impact assessment report concerning the proposed development of public housing in an ecologically-sensitive area with significant cultural heritage value. The decision is currently under appeal (Hong Kong Golf Club v Director Environmental Protection & Another [2024] HKCFI 1279, [2023] HKCFI 1946; [2023] HKCFI 2915).
Assisted in acting for numerous clients in appeals against the government authority for its handling of unauthorised building works.
Assisted in acting for a major construction company on building summonses relating to construction material quality in a high-profile residential development project.
Non-contentious and advisory matters
Assisted in advising a main contractor in relation to its dispute with the main contractor arising from the development of a residential building.
Assisted in advising a contractor in relation to upstream and downstream disputes arising from the development of a major infrastructure.
Assisted in advising a major developer on issues related to the potential insolvency of a main contractor.
