Employment partner Joe Choy was quoted by various media reports, commenting on the Government’s initiatives to support AI adoption in the workplace, as outlined in the 2026 Policy Address.
Joe mentioned that the Government’s recognition of AI as a transformative force in the workplace is both timely and encouraging. Initiatives such as the DOJ’s funding scheme to promote LawTech adoption, the “AI for All” programme, and the planned AI upskilling campaign reflect a clear commitment to helping businesses and professionals adapt to a rapidly evolving economy. As organisations increasingly integrate AI into their operations, investment in workforce training will be critical to ensuring employees can use these technologies responsibly and effectively.
He also added, in professional services, including the legal sector, successful AI adoption depends not only on technology but also on governance, training and human oversight.
