Overview
Kari Chow is an associate in the IP group in JSM's Hong Kong office.
Kari advises on non-contentious intellectual property and data matters, with a focus on commercial transactions involving the distribution and exploitation of creative content and technology enabled services. She regularly drafts and negotiates IP, confidentiality and data protection provisions in a range of commercial agreements.
She also advises on data protection and cybersecurity issues, including cross border data transfers, regulatory compliance, and data breach response. Drawing on in house experience, Kari brings a practical, risk based perspective to information governance, AI related issues, and the development of internal compliance frameworks.
