On 31 October 2024, our Hong Kong Cybersecurity Partner TL Lim and Associate Ken Lam hosted an insightful Interactive Ransomware Simulation event in collaboration with Jimmy Mate from Mandiant Consulting, part of Google Cloud.
During the event, Jimmy, together with TL Lim and Ken TL Lam:
- Guided the audience through the challenges and trade-offs of responding to a ransomware incident in a realistic and immersive simulation;
- Highlighted the legal risks and implications of ransomware attacks, offering proactive and effective strategies to mitigate these risks;
- Provided participants with hands-on experience in making tough decisions under the pressure of a ransomware attack.
Additionally the event featured an overview of the latest trends in ransomware attacks, featuring insights from Mandiant’s M-Trends 2024 report.
The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the audience, where they also actively participated in the lively and interactive Q&A session. The event underscores our ongoing commitment to enhancing cybersecurity awareness and equipping our clients and partners prepare for and handle worst-case scenarios.
