Hong Kong’s new minimum wage effective from 1 May 2023

The Hong Kong Government gazetted today that with effect from 1 May 2023, the minimum wage rate in Hong Kong will be increased to HK$40 per hour.
The monthly threshold amount for keeping records of hours worked will be increased accordingly to HK$16,300 per month.
Employers should ensure that they remain in compliance with the new minimum wage rate.
