Johnson Stokes & Master (JSM) acted for the Receivers in the disposal of Hotel COZi Oasis for a consideration of HK$953 million (approximately US$122 million) to China Resources Longdation. In connection with the transaction, JSM also acted for the Hotel Operator in a short term hotel management agreement with the purchaser post-completion.
Hotel COZi Oasis is a 583‑room hotel located at No. 443 Castle Peak Road, Kwai Chung. The transaction represents the largest hotel deal in Hong Kong in 2026 to date and reflects the growing trend of hotel‑to‑student‑housing conversions, responding to policy initiatives outlined in the 2025 Policy Address and increasing demand for student accommodation.
The deal was led by JSM Real Estate partner Ricky Yiu, supported by counsel Prairie Pe, real estate executive Elaine Au Yeung and trainee solicitor Natalie Lam.
